Not ‘Blind Faith’, but Evidenced-Based Faith!

The evidence for the existence of a Creator God, and for the truth of Christianity, is clear and compelling. It includes both “internal evidence” (the moral law inside each of us), as well as “external evidence” (from science, in biological systems, in archaeology, and in historical documents).

We are not required to have “blind faith” – our Creator has endowed us with amazing faculties, and He is pleased when we use them. But He will not force you to believe. We are not robots, machines. We can deny Him if we choose to do so. He has reserved for us that power of free will – for without that, love cannot exist.

Where Does the Scientific Evidence Point?

Is there scientific evidence for a Creator God? Are you wondering if there is any evidence to believe in a Creator, or are we humans just the product of some random evolutionary chance process? Where does the scientific evidence point to? Has the universe always having existed just as it is today, or was there a singularity or “creation event” that started it all? Is there evidence that the universe, the solar system, and even the earth being designed and carefully “fine-tuned” for complex life to form and thrive?

Why is science even possible? Due to the laws that are in place which govern, and provide predictability to the universe. The laws of gravity, of thermodynamics, and so forth. Might these be evidence for a Creator?

What about philosophy? Are there philosophical reasons why one ought to believe in God? Is there, for example, a “moral law” that we consciously set our rules by, and in fact live by? Is there Archaeological Evidence to Believe?

The hard evidence of archaeology confirms the Bible in so many places. In fact, in a number of cases scientists used to think that because they had not yet discovered physical evidence that a certain tribe, or person, or place Mount Sinai Saudi Arabia existed, that this ‘proved’ the Bible was false. Time after time, the science of archaeology has discovered so much evidence supporting the Bible it is absolutely astounding!

Where once scientists thought that a race called the Hittites never existed, later physical proof was found to the contrary! The Hittites did exist, just as the Bible revealed. Once again, archaeology confirmed the Bible. Once scientists claimed that a Pontus Pilate never existed, yet later an inscription was unearthed that confirmed that Pontus Pilate did in fact rule as governor of Judea, just as the Bible declared. The burial box of the ‘High priest’ Caiphus has been found, as well as what may turn out to be the box that contained the bones of James, the brother of Jesus!

The traditional site for Mount Sinai, or “the Mountain of Moses” (where God appeared to Moses, and the Ten Commandments were given), is a location in Egypt. The problem with this claim is that nothing about this mountain lines up with the Bible. Christianity is Not a Religion, its a Relationship

Don’t all religions or faiths lead to the same place? What makes Christianity unique? And why should I consider Jesus rather than Buddha, Mohammad, or Krishna? The fact of the matter is, when you examine them, ALL religions or belief systems claim “exclusivity” – even those that claim to have no such claim on the truth. So what is it with Christianity, what makes it different? The answer: Christianity is not just another “religion”, a set of rules to follow to try to transform yourself from a bad to a good person. Christianity is about having a personal relationship with your Creator, who loves you more than you can believe. When you give your life to Jesus, it is He who will do the work of transforming you from the inside out – from emptiness, to fullness of life in Jesus Christ.

All other religions are just that – religions that claim to shows you the “way” to live, how to reach up to God for contentment and happiness. In contrast, Jesus Christ said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”. He claimed to be the way to live, the embodiment of truth, and the source of everlasting life. The “good news” (the gospel) of Jesus Christ is about how the Creator of the universe reached down to us, became a human just like us, and lived life, sacrificing Himself for us so that we could live in relationship with our loving heavenly Father, the source of all life. >> Learn more about Why Christianity is Unique.

Aren’t There Many Roads to God? Why Jesus?

Is there any evidence for Jesus having lived among us, or is He just a folk hero, the product of legend? Where does the historical and archaeological evidence point to? What do biblical and non-biblical documents have to say about the existence of Jesus? What about eye witness accounts? If you are like many, you have questions about Christ, and whether He was who He said He was, or just another great teacher. Do you question the claims of Jesus, and wonder what sets Him apart?

Fact is, Jesus said things and made claims that NO OTHER PERSON IN HISTORY said or did. He performed many miracles to testify to His claims – He healed people everywhere He went, fed thousands, cast out daemons, and actually rose from the dead – no other “holy man” has been able to do this. Not Buddha, not Mohammed, and no others – they are all still in their graves. He didn’t just point to “a way” – He said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life”. As C.S. Lewis once remarked, He was either a lunatic, a liar, or Lord. Based on the evidence, you must decide which. Most everyone agrees He was not crazy; in fact, He has been described as the sanest person who ever lived. And no one has even accused Him or being a deceiver or liar. What Makes the Bible Unique Among Books?

Isn’t the Bible just like any other “holy book” – for example, the Quran, or the Bagva Gita? Is there any evidence that the Bible reliable and trustworthy? Or is it just a collection of ancient stories and myths, changed and corrupted over the centuries? Is it just another “holy book”, or is it truly God’s Word – 66 books, penned by various authors, over 4,000 years, and they were inspired by God’s Holy Spirit? What is the evidence that the Bible is unique among all the so-called scriptures of the ages?

These are important questions, as many people base their entire lives on the teachings of various “scriptures”. If they are all pretty much the same, then one is as good as another – like flavors of ice cream, so to speak. Pick one that’s right for you. On the other hand, if the Bible truly IS the written word of God – and these other books are just that – other books – then we had better pay special attention to it, and what it has to say to us! >> Learn more about Why the Bible is Unique Among All Books. You Were Shaped for a Purpose, and God Has a Plan for You!

Rather than seek fulfillment in your possessions, your career, relationships, or medication – any of which can come crumbling down without much warning – why not place your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus – “the image of the invisible God”. When humankind fell, God made a promise – that He would “crush” the head of the serpent by sending a Redeemer to bring humankind back into relationship with Himself. His redemption plan started right there at the fall, choosing a people to follow Him, and eventually sending His Spirit in the right time in history to overshadow a virgin by the name of Mary, causing her to bear a Child who would become the spotless “Lamb” of God, the Anointed One, the promised Messiah – the living sacrifice that paid the ultimate price for all of humankind’s failures – past, present and future.

The Lord Jesus is the “Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” (as John the Baptist said when seeing Him). Jesus was the fully human, but also fully divine in His nature. He was and is the eternal Word of God – everything God has to say. As the 1st chapter of John’s gospel puts it, “the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father”. Jesus lived the life that we failed to do, and then sinless, gave Himself as a sacrifice in our place by giving His life on a cross. Because while God is Love, and merciful – He must also be just, and deliver justice where it is due. Because of what Jesus did, God able to remain just, but also justify His creation. The glorious thing is that Jesus rose from the dead, conquering death and paving the way for a new family to be joined to God through His Son. The Bible says that “There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) No other name. Not Buddha; not Mohammed; not Krishna; not anyone else. Only Jesus is the Rock, the firm foundation for anyone who places their hope and trust in Him!

You have tried everything else. Why not give Jesus a chance?! Don’t put it off. Allow Him to come into your life and make you “a new creation”! You have nothing to loose everything to gain.
